Trip departure and return is via Access#29 Kiosk. Located two hours past Huntsville or 2.5 hours from Pembroke.

(4.5 hrs from Toronto).

From Pembroke the drive is nearly 2.5 hours.

IMPORTANT:

This is a trip out of the north side of Algonquin Park - Access#29 (Kiosk).

Meeting time is 9:00am EST (Departure is approx. 10:00am EST) on Thursday June 20th, 2019 at the permit office located on the shore of Kioshkokwi Lake (Kiosk), Ontario.

The trip ends on Sunday June 23rd, 2019 at approx. 2:00pm EST at Access#29 (Kiosk).

Activities include:

Canoeing, portaging, camping, swimming, hiking, wildlife viewing, fishing and of course solitude.

Day one is the trip in to camp, between four and five hours travel we’ll have us at camp by mid-afternoon. A quick, light lunch will be served to keep energy levels up and to keep our pace ahead of the bugs. Dinner will be served approximately 2 hours after arrival at camp.

Day two is a trip to waterfalls with lunch and swimming. Wildlife viewing in the late afternoon and early evening hours as well as fishing(Trout only).

Day three is opening day for bass fishing. Lots of bass to be caught. We will clean and cook your catch for you as you enjoy the delicious feast. If you catch trout, we’ll prepare this tasty fish for you as well!

Day four is the departure from camp heading back
Access#29 Kiosk (Arrival expected to be 2:00pm EST).
What is included in the package:

Equipment (Use of): Lightweight canoe, paddles, pfd (Life jacket), marine safety kit, lightweight tent, sleeping bag & pad, headlamp, saws, canoe pack & food barrel (one pack and barrel per canoe). Drinking & eating utensils are also included. Fishing rod and tackle will be available upon request. (A fishing license is required).

Food: A total of 3 Dinners and 3 Breakfasts are included as well as light lunches and snacks on the trail during day-trips. Your meals are cooked by our guides over a campfire ensuring you get the full backcountry experience. One glass of wine is provided per person for each of the three dinners.

Our meals consist of steaks, chicken and fish served with fresh vegetables and rice. Dehydrated meals maybe be served as well - Usually after Day 2 of the trip. There’s dessert too!


Guided Fun: Our guides offer 20 years of experience in the interior of Algonquin Park. Among the activities You can participate in; Star gazing, wildlife observation, making bannock bread and fishing. Learn how to identify various species of tree & plant life. Discover the habitats of some of The Park’s wildlife and the roles they can play in Algonquin Park’s ecosystem. We’ll show you just how much fun being outdoors & unconnected from the outside world can be.

Permits: Your camping permit is included in the cost of your trip.

Additional Info: Once your trip is booked you will be emailed a PDF containing additional information on your upcoming trip - All that you may or may not need to bring with you for a fun and memorable trip!
What is NOT included in the package:

Hotel Accommodation: It is recommended that our international guests make their own arrangements if they need a hotel room the day before and/or day after the trip.

Fishing Permit: A fishing permit is not included.

For non-residents of Canada, a fishing license can be obtained beforehand online via the Ontario government web site. Click here to read the requirements of a fishing license and following the links provided to purchase a license online.

If you need assistance, we can purchase and obtain a fishing permit for you at extra cost. Please provide reasonable time before the trip for us to secure your permit.

Cellphone service: There is no cellphone service in the interior of Algonquin Park. Connection might be possible, briefly, near access lakes. Once deeper inside The Park though, we will be utterly alone. Hope you can handle the disconnection withdrawals!
